We never actually pulled up in Monolithos. We drove past many times to and from Embonas and the inland valleys that abound around that area.
Got stuck a couple of times deep in gullies with a p*xy little Yugo. (The car not the nationality). Managed to extricate ourselves with the aid of a couple of robust saplings in semi darkness.

Have to find another picture now.
