A couple of friends called today we haven't seen for eighteen months so a lovely afternoon in good company

We had a little holiday in October, staying in a cottage in Norfolk. It was great being back in our old stamping ground and seeing old friends again.

We haven’t been away since before the first lockdown. Maybe next summer…?

We have really missed Greece these last two years.  I wonder if we shall feel like venturing abroad again next year.............

Not yet, I'm too busy concentrating on birthdays! We have several in November and December.

Lots of parties then?

Make sure you’ve got enough tea in the cupboard, or something stronger!

Youngest grandson's birthday celebration today (he's 11)....lunch at the local gastropub....sixteen family members present.....a wonderful time was had by all!

....and did they manage to seat you all at one table?

It sounds lovely…I bet a high old time was had by all!

We were in a semi-private area affectionately known as 'The Boardroom'. It has one large table that seats up to 20. It was quite a party!!!

Yes, it was great to be able to get together again after all this time, we had great fun.

Are all your grandchildren at school now Joy?

Yes!  Isaac, the oldest, is at senior school....he's 14.
His brother is just 11 and will move up next September.

The girls are now aged 10 and 8.  
How time flies by!!

How time flies, it seems just a moment ago that the grandchildren were babies!

I agree, time passes far too quickly now....it's rather scary!

So true, but we have to face up to it,

Indeed, but as long as we make the most of our time it's the best we can do.

Sometimes it’s difficult to haul myself out of bed in the morning!

I can relate to that, I'm rather short of determination in that area too!
