Re: Question Time
I think It was 1992 staying at the Lighthouse studios, at the time the four studios belonged to someone in the village very rundown,no toilet seat, leaky fridge unruly gardens but one fantastic view overlooking Kalogria beach In fact I've just googled them they are now amazing absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure you must know them.No sunbeds on either beach . one other couple next door and we met up with another couple who were staying at the Stoupa Hotel so the beach to ourselves and no rush at To Steki if we needed a drink, and the best bit we were picked up at kalamata by taxi .This was with Manos you wouldn't get that today would you?

Re: Question Time
Happy days!! Our first time was 1994 when we stayed at Lelas Studios (now Theoxenia) with Sunmed.
Not many holiday companies use taxi transfers now, with the possible exception of Sunvil, an excellent company, but their prices are higher than average. Have you ever travelled anywhere with Sunvil

Re: Question Time
Oh yes, Tapestry always had that beautifully produced opulent brochure that was soooo tempting. Â Most of the smaller companies were taken over, quite a few by Thomas Cook, and we know what happened to them, don't we

Re: Question Time
Not quite.....Jet2 Holidays and Olympic were flying from several UK airports last year. Â We were booked to go with Jet2 this September, but in June they cancelled all their flights from Manchester to Kalamata for the rest of the season. Â
We have transferred our booking to September 2021.....do you think we shall make it

Re: Question Time
Some say that things will never go back to the way they were and we must get used to 'the new normal', whatever that may be, but that doesn't inspire much confidence in the future, does it

Not too bad at the moment, although a few outlying areas in the county have more cases. You never know from one week to the next though, do you

Re: Question Time
It appears to be 18-24 year olds that are getting it around this area with no symptoms but still passing the virus on. I dread to think what will happen when they go back to uni. What do you think?
