Question Time

I'm not one for taking risks I shall have to consider very carefully
whether we go to sons for Christmas G/Ds not allowed home unless they are tested.Elizabeth has three tests each week at work and Eleanor can get tested at uni.So we will see what happens over the run up to Christmas.Don't you think It will feel very strange if we can't  spend Christmas with our families?

I couldn't agree more, but there's a lot of water to go under the bridge before then.  There's hope that we might even get a vaccine in time. Wouldn't that just be the BEST Christmas present

Todays news is good news, do you think we will get our vaccine before Christmas?

I doubt it, especially as we would need a second vaccination three weeks after the first, and I believe it then takes even longer to become effective. Easter maybe

We are booked for September 2021. But who knows how long immunity would last after vaccination

No one seems to have the answer yet,perhaps the new year will give us the answers to so many questions If the answers are what we want to hear I'm sure their will be a mighty rush for holiday bookings don't you?

It does!  We've lived here nearly two years now and not yet had the chance to explore the local area properly.

How do you feel about mixing with family members over the
Christmas period?

We have already had a family conference and decided against it. There will be other options like meeting in the park and video get-togethers.....not ideal, but much safer.
We shall be getting together again indoors when it seems safe to do so, then we shall have something really wonderful to celebrate!!!

This hasn't been discussed as yet. I have ordered M/s turkey crown for us two, so i'm prepared if it's just the two of us.Elizabeth flies out to Abu Dhabi on Saturday for 14days with F1( lucky girl) I could do with some of their lovely weather couldn't you?

I have a small turkey crown in the freezer already!
She IS a lucky girl! Wouldn't it be really wonderful to feel some warm sun on your back just now

Well, after taking care not to pick up the virus for so many months we'll all have to pluck up courage first, won't we

Perhaps in a couple of months we will have had our vaccination
and be able to look forward to a good Spring and Summer, what do you think?

I really hope so. I am really looking forward to having a family gathering in the garden of the local pub, a nice pub lunch and a glass of wine and a lazy afternoon all together in the sun!

I think it stands a chance if the vaccine is proved to work well.....as ever, we must keep our hopes up and wait and see mustn't we
