Re: Question Time
It’s going to be just the two of us as well. We had been collecting our grandchildren from school once a week, which makes us an unofficial childcare bubble. However, we haven’t done it for the last few weeks because Covid cases are rising in their school. Reluctantly we’ve decided it would be sensible to stay at home.

Re: Question Time
Same here, but we consider ourselves lucky that we don't live far away from the family now.
In fact they have been round here this afternoon delivering presents and stayed for a socially distant chat (with masks!) in our double garage with the front door up. Ways and means eh

Re: Question Time
It is what they say. You’ve got to have hope or you’d be miserable all the time, wouldn’t you
(Sorry, I forgot to put the question in my last post!)

Update (22.1.21)
We had our invitations in this morning's post, only to find out at lunchtime via the local news that the over 75's are being put on hold again until more of the over 80's have received theirs! Talk about giving with one hand and taking away again with the other!!!
You have to laugh, don't you

Re: Question Time
I was surprised to get a call from our GP surgery yesterday inviting us to go for our jab today. I thought we’d probably get ours sometime next month. It’s good to have a nice surprise sometimes, isn’t it

No, it was just the standard invitation letter from the local NHS telling us either to go online or to phone for an appointment. When you go online it says over 80's only at the moment, as announced on the local news yesterday.
As far as I know the GP surgeries around here are not up and running for vaccination appointments yet. They are too busy dealing with the 80+ group who need vaccinating at home. Also they tell us that supplies are not getting through. What we do have are about 7 or 8 large vaccination centres still catching up with the over 80's, so when our turn comes we shall be able to choose whichever one we fancy.
All we can do is wait and see, isn't it
(Pleased to hear that you have had your jabs Deb! We shall all get there in the end hopefully! )

Re: Question Time
It is worrying, although apparently it's the way viruses always behave.
We now have our vaccination appointments by the way, for 29th January with the second dose appointment on 17th April.
Do you think 11/12 weeks is too long a gap between

Re: Question Time
We had the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. No problems so far and we have our next appointments for 17th April, 11 weeks from now. I hope they have done the right thing extending the timescale from the original three weeks. What do you think

Re: Question Time
We had the Pfizer vaccine and got the blue card but we weren’t given a date for our next appointment. I wonder why

Re: Question Time
We booked through a website called swiftqueue.co.uk which we were directed to by Nottingham NHS when our turn came. They always give a second appointment date with the first booking. It seems that there are many different ways of booking appointments, doesn't it
