The reason I thought it was Corfu is that it says Corcyra somewhere, but it also says Creta, so, actually, that was just daft!

It looks modern rather than ancient and it looks as if the figure is holding a bowl. The Greek version of Oliver?

The statue had no inscription, so as to who it represents is open for discussion, but the area is renowned for a certain commodity which must be linked to the figure.

This park is visible on Google Earth, but that is for later.
