It’s sad that so many people don’t care about litter.

I don't understand it. After all it's very unattractive, lying around in otherwise beautiful places.

Yes. I don’t understand why people can’t take their rubbish home with them.

Yep, that's the million dollar question!!

It’s not that difficult!

Very true but some people obviously can't be bothered.

No they can’t. It can get very smelly when it’s hot and there’s litter around.

Especially when the litter consists of stuff like discarded food containers or, even worse, disposable nappies.

It’s hard to know what can be done about it.

People seem to be like chalk and cheese! Many really care about the environment but some don't give a hoot.......

It has It's disadvantages living opposite a park.............picking burger boxes up which have been thrown into my garden

Hmmm. I have something like that to beef about too.
We live very close to a lovely nature reserve where I often go walking. A lot of that kind of litter appears from somewhere overnight and picking it up is an endless task I'm afraid.

When I was out today I saw a young man throw a can on the ground.

Oh dear, it's just not cricket is it? And now we have discarded masks to contend with as well.......

Changing the subject, I’ve just heard on the news that the England football team have won their match. I didn’t watch it!

It was a good game lets hope they continue playing well

I wonder if there was a party afterwards to celebrate!

There may have been something stronger than tea to drink!

Or maybe the time for something stronger will be when the competition's finished.........

I’m sure lots of people will be out and about when it’s finished!

It's going quite well for England so far, but we mustn't count our chickens just yet!

It’s all over now. Meanwhile, back home it’s cold…I can’t wait till spring!

I feel the same. Can't wait until after Christmas when the bulbs start to show themselves and the days start getting a bit longer.

We can then enjoy the light evenings
