Seeing all those sponges, my guess would also have been Kalymnos
( Had a fantastic 3 weeks there a few years back. Went with Laskarina Travel, the best travel company ever, but unfortunately not operating in Greece any more )

Laskarina were fantastic
Went to some really out of the way places. Great Reps,super accomodation, great all round service. Trouble was that they were a bit pricey and couldn`t compete ( on price anyway ) with other companies so they pulled out of Greece to concentrate on America
We went with them once or twice a year for quite a few years
