Re: General knowledge
Ok. Is it Gerald Scarfe who is Jane A's husband and did some of the graphics for Pink Floyd?

Oh, come on .... there's a solid link to Byker. This was featured on several editions of "Top Of The Pops" and became an anthem of rebellious teens.

Re: General knowledge
Crikey, 'eck! Two pages ago,
The Robin Hood was reasonably well found but the various writers, producers and directors were largely drawn from the Americans who had left Hollywood after being branded "Communist" by the Macartyites. Most still had to use pseudonyms, even in "enlightened" England, to enable US distribution. The theme of "from the rich to the poor" was always prominent.
Petr and Jane Asher played Prince Arthur and his sister.
After a well publicised period escorting Paul McCartney, Jane married cartoonist Gerald Scarfe and became a well published cake baker.
Gerald Scarfe worked with Pink Floyd during the production of the staging of "The Wall"; a musical "event", dealing with themes of abandonment and personal isolation as experienced by Roger Waters.

Can you link ...
a Robin Hood that had more to do with the "Hollywood Blacklist" than English folklore
... to ...
Roger Waters' mental condition?

Re: General knowledge
Ok. Now then. What artist links a portrait of a person with a carnation in Germany and the son of a blacksmith?

Re: General knowledge
is immediately reminiscent of Oscar Wilde but I never knew of his being in Germany ....a portrait of a person with a carnation

A hint might be to focus on the two components rather than trying to guess an artist.

Sounds plausible to me, too.
If not, are we in the right {low} countries?
