French coffee is my personal favourite...how about you?

I prefer a high roast Java, the joys of French coffee tend to leave me cold.

I'm sure you're not alone there....to each his own!

My brother lives in Purmerend, they hold a farmers market in the square twice a week.

We lived in the "new" city of Zoetermeer, also called "Sweet Lake City" by most residents. The main street of the old town was/is very picturesque, with a gracht (canal) running down the middle!

Do you ever wish you'd stayed there, or are you glad to be back in good old Blighty?

I was deeply conflicted when we decoded to come home but that door is now closed.

Never mind! These things have a way of turning out for the best.

Well, I won't be going anywhere if I don't get on and post my passport renewal!

Words fail me!, I tried to renew my passport today the post office refused to accept my new passport photo because I had my specs on, which I wear all the time.

I'll bet you were cross! Will you have to get more photos done then?

A few words were exchanged when they pointed me in the direction
of a photographic studio to have some taken, I'll be trying the booth again!!!!

I'm sure the photos will be perfect this time. Specs on or off?

I had my picture taken at a Max Speilman shop where they insisted I take off my specs. They also guarantee to produce an acceptable passport photo (x4) for one payment of £6.99, no matter how many times they have to re-try!

Definitely the best way to address the problem!

You don't need to book, any member of the public can walk in to any Spielman/Timpson shop and get the service.

In that case I expect they do a very healthy trade.

With service like that they deserve to.

What more need I say to pack you off there, then?
