Re: Dusty Springfield...
Right, I'm a sad old git ................. but the last time I saw Dusty on TV, she was in full "singing panda" mode, in black and white, 405 lines and introduced Bobbie Gentry to a British audience.

Well you got your wish Manimad as Dusty won,my mum loves her too,the real one and the tribute act so she'll be chuffed to.
Dusty will be on in Vegas when we go in May,don't think we'll be going seeing her though,I wanted Cher to win.
We were also supporting Robbie as my mum used to work with his mum and he's from my birth town.

Re: Dusty Springfield...
For what its worth, I met Dusty Springfield, summer of '72 (I think) - in Rome walking around the Vatican (she was a devout Catholic - me devout coward). Anyway girlfriend at the time needed " a break" and by the time she came back I was in her words, (and she wasn't amused) "giving it the full chat". I'll admit I was and still am a fan, but she took the time to stop and natter for about 20 minutes - made my holiday.

Here is the real deal.
Not one of her hits, and a much covered song but I do like this version - showcases her voice

That was a nice find S.D. She still manages to send a thrill down my spine. They don't make them like her any more.
