It looks as though they are lifting covid regulations but how does that help vulnerable people who have been shielding?

Good question. I suppose people can’t stay at home forever?

True, although they will always be running the risk of becoming very ill.

Some people seem to think because they are vaccinated
they are safe unfortunately It's far from over.

We still have to take care.

We shall be doing just that, but I know a few people who will be off on holiday soon........

I think it’s better to stay put for now. Hopefully things will improve when the weather gets warmer.

I'm so looking forward to the spring and some warmer weather.

I wonder if we shall get any snow this year... ..

I hope not. Snow looks pretty but I worry I’m going to fall over when it gets slippery.

When I think back to the winter of 1963 I can’t believe the snow lasted for so long.

I remember that winter! The bus into town didn't turn up half the time and made me late for work......still we were all in the same boat weren't we?

Yes we were. I wouldn’t like to go back to those times again!

Do either of you remember the winter of 1947 ? the snow was so deep we couldn't open the back door. It was my first
experience and last of seeing so much snow that lasted for weeks.

In the winter of 1946/47 I was a toddler and I have no clear memories of it to be honest.....however my Mum did tell me how difficult it was getting my pushchair through between walls of snow and ice to get to the local shop!
