Not sure....is the sand really as pale as that Chris?

I haven't tinkered with the photo but it is old. Think it was fairly fine, pale sand. Mainland.

No Susie, not the Pelion. Think again.

No idea....it looks like a mixture of the Caribbean, parts of Crete and The Canary Islands!!!!

Is it Sarti?

Well, I'll let you have that. It is close to Sarti and I think it's called Achlada. Very lovely beaches in this area but I am talking about the '80's here and no idea what they may be like now. Over to you, Joy.

Actually I found it on Google pics before I came in here and it looks very much the same!!! I also looked for a package to near there but there are not any!!

The package operators all go to the other peninsula Susie....Kassandra. That's where we went many years ago and it was rather touristy even then!

Sithonia seems to be a place most people just go on boat trips etc. unless they are travelling independently.

Yes, we were based on Kassandra, in Afitos. We always travelled to the Sithonia peninsula, far quieter and some beautiful beaches. Having said that, even in early May, many of the beaches had campers and caravans on them, mainly German. I suppose this is because of the ease of getting there.

We stayed in Afitos too Chris!  1991....our last holiday in Greece with our two kids, as teenagers.   Happy days!
