So it is 18th century, is filled with cold water to keep something put into the flutes to keep cool, but the something is not food or cutlery?

These coolers were made in silver as well as pot, The fluted edges held something to keep them as chilled as possible . I'm not sure If It would sit on main table or a side table

Yes in England

Not used for music entertainment as far as I know

It has a tea rooms

There are occasional functions and private parties there but not generally known for it, not these days anyway!!
