I'm not sure whether your are responding to my cynical view of Lydia's implied state .... or the topic question: Q: what measurement is calibrated by use of grass, leaves and trees?

In the case of the latter, there is a connection with climate, in that it reflects the effects of climate change but the environmental connection is purely incidental.

As it turned out, the turkey didn't come to any harm - well, beyond that which was expected. Plenty of red wine with dinner - steady drinking......

The metric I'm after is far more prosaic .... even "mainstream" (well, it's often mentioned on Radio 4).
