Susie,The castle is in Tarporley near to the village of Beeston, the castle Is named after a knight who bought It sometime in the 14th cent.

Is It "The Red House"?

In Bexley Heath S.London

Designed By Philip Webb

and commisioned and lived in by William Morris founder of the Arts and Crafts.It now belongs to the National Trust.

There's a personal connection. Think about my recent-ish news. The architect's namesake (not Stephens) had an exhibition at the Royal Academy about 14 or so months ago.
