Presidential Guard Slow March
We were incredibly lucky to have an almost private viewing of the Presidential Guard yesterday lunchtime (shown in the video below). I had decided to go back from the Olympic stadium towards Monastiriki past the Royal Palace and we stumbled upon the Guard being ceremonially marched from the Royal Palace to their barracks behind Parliament. There were no more than 20 or thirty spectators in total,no barriers and a small police presence. It was totally enthralling and we took a shedload of photographs which I'll share later. Apparently there was some sort of ceremony involving Papandreou.

Nice bit of video John. The presidential guard on independence day. Haven't seen that as it takes place in March, but we have watched the daily changing of the guard a couple of times.
Looking forward to your pictures.

They look great, don't they. We've seen the changing of the guard too. Very entertaining.
