.....having brought Richard Feynman into the equation so to speak.

One of the better things Bill Gates has done is make a series of lectures publicly available for free. These are not "soundbites" but serious lectures by one of the greatest of modern scientists (IMHO) and you need to allow some time to get the most out of them. What I think is amazing is how he makes complex science eg quantum mechanics accessible to people who have little or no scientific background.
