The future looks rather bleak whoever's in power.

It'll be a difficult time for all in the House.

Whichever party they support....

Politics is a funny game. What we have to remember is that, after the Second World War, this country was much much deeper in debt than it is now, and the welfare state was constructed. There are those who would have us forget that.

Which ever faction brought it up, with their appropriate spin, would be accused of dirty tricks by the others.

....and nobody wants to lose face under any circumstances....

Yes, that's what it's really all about for politicians.

I think the new year will bring many changes

All along I've had my doubts If a Con./Lib pact. could ever work.
