Thought Shakira was awful, Scissor Sisters brilliant and Florence and the Machine's version of Fleetwood Mac's the chain a very worthy effort.

Highlight for me was the relatively unknown, Mumford and Sons - tons of energy, the ability to sing in close harmony, songs which actually make some sense rather than a random collection of rhyming words and pretty good all round musicians.

Quite rousing.Just caught the tail end of Ray Davies (Kinks) yesterday. He has still got a powerful voice, even at his age.

Ray Davies is apparently working on an album of collaborations, and these boys will be one of the collaborating acts.
