Re: Question Time
We have potatoes in bags, climbing French beans in tubs, parsley and chives in the flower border and tomatoes, chilli plants and mini cucumbers in the greenhouse. No veg plot to speak of here, so we have to be inventive don't we

Re: Question Time
They already have some of the cucumber and tomato plants we have grown. Otherwise, before promising to share, we will have to wait and see how successfully the rest grows, won't we:?:

Re: Question Time
He loves growing vegetables, does a bit of woodwork, although he doesn't have his wood lathe any more and has also given up playing competitive cribbage now because he can't find anywhere locally to join a team.

Re: Question Time
Certainly the old pub games seem to have died out around here, although where we used to live there was much more going on. I think it's a shame, don't you

Re: Question Time
It's terrible the way some pubs have been modernised i much prefer the old fashioned welcoming ones with an open fire and serving pub food How about you?

Re: Question Time
I agree. A lot of modernised pubs are little more than run-of-the-mill restaurants with no atmosphere. It seems to be all about making money on meals, doesn't it

Re: Question Time
Mostly with family nowadays, although not lately of course! The last time we all went out to eat was for my birthday at the beginning of March. It's my son's birthday today (he's 44), but no chance of an outing at the moment.

Re: Question Time
Yes, my birthday is the day before Jock's, on the 4th.. We went out for lunch on that day and also had a meal out with the whole family the following Sunday, so I should count myself lucky, shouldn't I
