No!  It is hot here now but very overcast, the bird baths need filling again! We fill them again at night for our Hedgehog.

Do you have a Hedgehog Question

Yes, a nice cool breeze now, thought we were going to have a thunderstorm last night here but it never arrived.

My Hedgehog visits every night now for mealworms and quite a long drink of water.

We had a Nuthatch in the garden recently, quite an unusual visitor for us.

Not long now to Wimbledon, will you be watching Question

We have a pair of nuthatches who visit every day and they have been very busy with the peanuts today!!

No, I didn't enjoy the heatwave. It was a novelty for the first couple of days but it's nice now it's cooled down. I was on a bus yesterday which went past the All England Lawn Tennis Club - it's huge now! I remember going there many years ago and it wasn't that big.

I don't think I've seen a nuthatch but I did see a woodpecker in our cherry tree. What other birds do you see in your gardens Question

Jays are beautiful, we have Greater spotted woodpeckers too but my favourites are the two pairs of ravens who visit. Anyone got any other more unusual birds?

One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret,
Never to be told.
Eight for a wish,
Nine for a kiss,
Ten for a bird,
You must not miss.

Anyone know any other bird rhymes?

Two little dicky birds
Sitting on a wall,
One named Peter,
The other named Paul,
Fly away Peter,
Fly Away Paul,
Come back Peter,
Come back Paul.

Doesn't this take you back to your childhood Question Laughing

Yes..... Laughing

"Found a feather, found a feather, found a feather on the ground.
Oh, I am so very lucky a feather to have found.
Picked it up, picked it up, picked it up just like that,
Picked up that pretty feather then I put it in my hat.
Found a feather, found a feather, found a feather on the ground.
Oh, I am so very lucky a feather to have found."

You should try to sing it to the tune of "My Darling Clementine".

Now how about that then  Question
