Don't think so Jim, but OC might know the answer to this because it is in Scotland. The question is......where?

Re: General knowledge
Weeeeell.................OK, tisn't too far away I suppose!
The statue is the Black Watch Monument and it's by the River Tay at Wade's Bridge in Aberfeldy. It commemorates the first muster of the Black Watch Regiment which was held in Aberfeldy in 1740. The statue was actually unveiled in 1887.
Your turn again Chas....

Re: General knowledge
Precisely, being:
Pipe 4½
Pin 9
Kilderkin 18
Barrel 36
{the mighty} Hogshead 54 gallons (72 gallons was thought too heavy for two men to lift!).
Carry on Susie, you've had a while to think

Re: General knowledge
Isn't there an alternative name for the 'Pin' Chas?
'Firkin' is a name for 9 gallons that brought much hilarity to us daft, youthful drinkers.
