Quite right Jim! And you can see the Kalymnos Airport runway up on the top of the mountain. When we were there in 1995 it had been half built and left derelict because the money had run out!! We went in a taxi up to the top for a good look and it WAS in a sorry state....even the dumper trucks and diggers had been left there to rot. I believe it was finally opened in 2006 and is used for internal passenger flights in the summer but cargo only in wintertime.
